We were pleased to attend the Scientific Event “LGBTQI+ Rights & Freedoms” organized by Sakkoulas Publications, on the occasion of the release of the book by Mr. Vasilis Sotiropoulos, Lawyer, held on 19/11/2024 at the historic Old Parliament building.

It was a particular honour to have our colleague, Associate Professor of Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Mr. Nikolaos Katiforis, present an exceptionally interesting paper. Focusing on the commentary of a judicial decision regarding the modification of gender registration in civil records, he highlighted the procedural implications of the process, emphasizing the advantages of voluntary jurisdiction: protection of personal data, closed-door proceedings, and the freedom to choose the locally competent Court.
