Atty. George Sioufas

Atty. George Sioufas is our Law Firm’s Managing Partner and founder. As a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1999, he established Sioufas & Associates Law Firm along with Atty. Marios Sioufas in 2005. His longstanding experience in the field of Banking and Finance Law, NPE management, investment management and real estate management & development is demonstrated through his broadly based transactional and legal advisory practice. His clients include all the major banks and financial institutions that are active in the Greek market and he has been involved in most transactions of the Greek NPL portfolio sales market, organizing and leading complicated legal due diligence exercises.

Atty. Marios Sioufas

Languages: Greek, English and Spanish.

Atty. Marios Sioufas is the Deputy Managing Partner of the Law Firm and Head of the Intellectual Property, Commercial, Corporate M&A and Dispute Resolution Departments with more than 15 years of handling cases of registration and protection of national, European and International trademarks and designs for a vast corporate clientele and representing their interests before the Administrative Courts of Greece and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.

Marios Sioufas is a recommended lawyer in Legal 500 EMEA edition 2020.

Atty. Dr. Nikolaos Katiforis is the Legal Counsel and DPO of the Law Firm. He is Assistant Professor at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the field of Civil Procedural Law, has extensive experience in Administrative, Arbitration Law and Litigation, having handled high-profile and complex cases before national courts of all degrees. Dr. Katiforis’ focus lies as well in the field of Public Procurement. He also handles significant projects which are related to compliance on miscellaneous regulatory issues, more specifically related to data privacy.

Atty. Olga Eftychidou is the Legal Manager and a member of the Law Firm’s Management Team, being responsible for all legal and judicial affairs and corporate governance. She has a longstanding experience in the fields of NPEs and NPLs, especially regarding the out of court settlement and legal actions on outstanding claims, their judicial enforcement, restructuring and insolvency procedures. Her expertise also covers other aspects of Greek law, including Corporate, Commercial, Labor and Contracts and she has considerable experience in negotiations and the handling of complex projects while being in charge of multi-member legal teams.

Atty. Neoklis Neokleous

Atty.  Neoklis Neokleous is the Legal Deputy Manager.

He is a real estate law expert, handling large scale conveyancing cases with complex legal issues covering all stages from land registry and cadaster due diligence throughout the consummation of the transaction; His expertise, as well as negotiation and communication skills, are highly valued by the clients.

He has a 19 year long expertise acquired by serving as external counsel to a major Greek Bank and a contractor company, whereas, apart from transactions on real estate assets, he handles with his team-high worth complex portfolios involving real estate land registry search, as well as the establishment of real estate rights and collaterals.

Atty. Theodora Antonopoulou is an attorney at law with a professional experience of 18 years in the field of civil and commercial law and judicial enforcement. She has an important track record of handling cases of civil, real estate and inheritance law. As a Supervising Attorney of the Commercial, Corporate and M&A Department, she is in charge of the dispute resolution team on outstanding claims. She has an extensive litigation experience representing corporate clients before Civil and Criminal courts. She also has an excellent knowledge of Employment and Traffic accident legal disputes.

Atty. Dimitra Dionysopoulou

Education: (LL.M) (LL.B) Bachelor of Laws – National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

Atty. Dimitra Dionysopoulou is the Supervising Attorney of the Department of Land Searches, Land Registry Projects and Consensual registration of Mortgages. She is responsible for all legal cases related to real estate law, namely research of real estate rights and collaterals and their registration at the national cadasters and land registries. Her clients include all the major banks and financial institutions in the Greek market.

Atty. Theodora Ioannidou is the Supervising Attorney of the Department of Legal Services in the Thessaloniki Offices of the Law Firm and handles litigation cases before the Greek courts of all degrees, with a specialization in Banking Law and Judicial enforcement. She has a broad experience in handling oppositions and law suits in the field of real estate law, dispute resolution of loan and credit outstanding claims, and commercial law. She has also an academic specialization in International and European Commercial Law and Alternative dispute resolution cases. She is in charge of the dispute resolution team on outstanding claims and non-performing loans.

Atty. Despina Kotsia

Atty. Despina Kotsia is the Supervising Attorney of the Department of Legal Services in the Patras Offices of the Law Firm and handles litigation cases before the Greek courts of all degrees, with a specialization in Banking Law and Judicial enforcement

She has a broad experience in handling searches of real estate rights and registration of rights and collaterals at the national cadasters and land registries, oppositions and law suits in the field of real estate law, dispute resolution of loan and credit outstanding claims.

Atty. Ioanna Rapsomaniki is a Supervising Attorney of the Commercial, Corporate and M&A department of the Law Firm, with a specialization in Corporate Law and new business development. Her area of expertise is commercial law, group restructurings, business transactions, legal due diligence and the drafting of commercial agreements. She focuses on recognizing the clients’ professional needs and suggesting the appropriate legal solutions.

He has broad experience in handling oppositions and law suits in the field of torts, leasing agreements, dispute resolution of loan and credit outstanding claims, restructuring and insolvency procedures, legal due diligence and transfer of NPL portfolios. He is in charge of the dispute resolution team on outstanding claims and non-performing loans.
